Abstract

This study aims to evaluate Palestinian women's organizations in the West Bank in the years 1995-2000. It studies most women's organizations activities with concentration on a comparison between adopted goals and offered programs.

The theoretical side of this study deals with the most important chorological development stages that Palestinian women underwent. It also studies the effect of the political, economic and social changes especially their relation with Palestinian national liberation movement within a vision of a controversial relation between national political liberation and social feminine one. The study tackles role changes from relief services to the developmental role.

The field side of the study depends on a questionnaire designed to collect details information about those organization. The questionnaire was distributed on a purposive sample of women's organizations. Criteria were put so that could reflect diversity of those organizations in respect with their legitimacy, activate frameworks and year of establishment.

The study divides aspects of women's organizations into two. First direct elements in the process of evaluation. This includes goals, priorities, programs, and target groups for activities.
